Like so many, my journey caring for children started as the neighborhood babysitter through high school. I attended Shenandoah Conservatory for music education, but found more personal and professional satisfaction providing the nurturing support and well rounded care of nannying.
After I moved to Winston-Salem with my husband and dogs, I started as a part time nanny for multiple families in the area. Since then, I have dedicated myself to continuing my education to better serve the families and children I have had the pleasure to work with. I have attended seminars, continuing education classes, NCS trainings, and CPR/First-Aid classes, all with the goal of bringing learned and nurturing support to my families!
My Philosophy
I believe that consistency and routine make for a happy child. This holds just as true from the newborns to the five year old’s I have nannied. All children (even newborns) develop and grow through playing and interacting with their environment, so I believe in creating an environment where children can look, move, interact, and manipulate their surroundings.

I love helping families set up play spaces that are developmentally appropriate, and adapting them as the children grow. Each milestone and developmental step presents an opportunity to facilitate a healthy and safe environment that naturally guides children to their highest potential.
Creating a routine helps the child fall into healthy and fulfilling sleep patterns to make the most of their day. A well rested child means a well rested parent, but it also allows the child that crucial time to let their bodies and minds rest and grow. Each child has different needs, and I love unlocking their personalities to find the right fit for them.

I have worked with families from many different cultural and professional backgrounds. It is exciting to learn about each family and their unique experiences. Each individual family has their own needs and I strive to leave each family empowered, confident, and knowledgeable.
